Saratoga sailed from San Diego on 1st june 1942, and arrived Pearl on 6th june. She departed Pearl on 7th june to join Enterprise and Hornet.
On 11 june Saratoga transferred aircrafts to Enterprise (VB and VT-5 Dets.) and Hornet (VB and VT-8 Dets.).

Yorktown embarked most of the Saratoga air Group. Her own Air Group was damaged in the Battle of Coral Sea.

VGS-1 was VS-201 before 1st April 1942. Long Island shifted from Atlantic to Pacific during may 1942. Not sure about the air Group.

Wasp was shifting from Atlantic to Pacific at the time of the Battle of Midway.
VS-71 and VS-72 were training on the new SBDs.
