Seagull |
Long Island was the first auxiliary carrier. She was commissione in june 1941.
She was a converted cargo, so she was considerably slower, smaller and less capable than the fleet carriers.
The F2A-2 were F2A-1 (ex VF-3 from Saratoga) converted to the later standard. By august VS-201 received newer F2A-3.
I am unsure about the presence of Seagulls.
